The new flagship stands out with its ultra-slim 5.99mm body and lightweight 159g design, placing it among the sleekest smartphones in its class, comparable to devices like the iPhone Air and Galaxy S25 Edge.
Pricing and Availability
The Motorola Edge 70 is priced at GBP 700 (approximately ₹80,000) in the UK and will retail in Europe and the Middle East starting at EUR 799 (around ₹81,000). Motorola confirmed that the device will roll out to additional global markets in the coming weeks.
It will be available in three Pantone-certified finishes — Bronze Green, Lily Pad, and Gadget Grey.
Display and Performance
The smartphone sports a 6.67-inch pOLED Super HD display with a 1,220×2,712 pixel resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and HDR10+ support. The panel offers a peak brightness of 4,500 nits, 300Hz touch sampling rate, and Gorilla Glass 7i protection, ensuring durability alongside rich visuals and smooth responsiveness.
Under the hood, the Edge 70 runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, paired with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage, promising strong mid-premium performance for multitasking and gaming.
Camera and Battery
For photography, the handset features a dual 50-megapixel rear setup — a primary sensor with OIS (f/1.8) and a 50MP ultrawide camera (f/2.0) with a dedicated 3-in-1 light sensor. On the front, users get a 50-megapixel selfie camera, making it a strong contender for content creators and vloggers.
Powering the device is a 4,800mAh Silicon-Carbon battery supporting 68W wired and 15W wireless charging. Motorola claims up to 29 hours of video playback and 66 hours of music streaming on a single charge.
Software, Build, and Security
Running on Android 16, the Motorola Edge 70 is guaranteed to receive security updates until June 2031. The phone features ThinkShield security, in-display fingerprint scanning, and face unlock for enhanced protection.
The device’s aircraft-grade aluminium frame meets MIL-STD-810H durability standards, and the phone is rated IP68 + IP69 for dust and water resistance. Connectivity features include 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, NFC, Bluetooth, GPS, and dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos.
